Mark Polizzotti wanted to do something unusual with this study of the world-famous portraitist, his subjects, and his masterwork. He settled on a rather small, squarish trim that made for a pleasant reading book but that allowed for nicely sized illustrations. I thought the type should have a distinct heft on the page, opting for the rarely seen Monotype Columbus.
