Roger Kimball commissioned this design for a series of essays on contemporary cultural and political issues as a counterbalance to Encounter Books’ more aggressively political Broadsides series. To achieve the bright, attention-grabbing cover colors, we derived a palette of overprinted neon inks. Set in one of my preferred sans-serif types, Meta, with Gill Sans Nova for the display.
